FOTD - Rouge Bunny Rouge Fluttering Sighs 004 Sheer Lipstick, Clinique Age Defense BB Cream SPF30 and NYX HD Studio Grinding Blush 05 American Girl

Today's look features Rouge Bunny Rouge Fluttering Sighs 004 Sheer Lipstick, Clinique Age Defense BB Cream SPF30 and NYX HD Studio Grinding Blush 05 American Girl. I went for a pink/peach theme to fight against the winter blahs. The sun even came out for a bit today, and I was able to take a couple of photos in natural light, above and below. Alas, the sun went back into hiding!

I primed with Missha BB Boomer and applied the Clinique Age Defense BB Cream with my fingers. I purchased Shade 01 (there are two shades: 01 and 02) because I wear the lightest shade in Clinique foundations. However, when I stood in sunlight, I looked a bit pale, so I applied a dab of Missha Signature Real Complete BB Cream in Shade 23 to deepen the colour a bit. I'm still a bit tan from Hawaii, so Shade 01 should be perfect in a few weeks. I set the BB cream on the t-zone with a dusting of Suqqu Nuancing Loose Powder in Natural. No concealer today.

I kept my eye makeup very basic today: I used the Brown and Gold shades from the RMK Christmas Palette, and lined my upper lid only with Estee Lauder Pure Color Intense Kajal Eyeliner pencil in Blackened Black. I applied two coats of Helena Rubinstein Lash Queen Feline Blacks Mascara in Shade 02 Black Brown. I defined my eyebrows with Blink Eyebrow Pencil in Indian Chocolate and set my brows with Blink Eyebrow Gel in the same shade.

I applied the NYX HD Studio Grinding Blush 05 American Girl, a pretty pink, to the apples of my cheeks. I'm really liking this blush - the intensity is very buildable and it's hard to go wrong with it.

I finished with Rouge Bunny Rouge Fluttering Sighs 004 Sheer Lipstick, a fresh pink shade. I really love the colour and texture of this lipstick - it's similar to Suqqu Creamy Moist Glow lipstick, but softer in texture.

Hope you liked today's look, and thanks for reading!

  2. I never see NYX in Seattle anywhere, but I really want to try this brand.

Read your last comment - small world indeed. The International District is a great place to live. And so many amenities for immigrant seniors. Hope your mom enjoys her time there.

  11. Fluttering Sighs! I almost bought this one but I was afraid it was too close to my other ones. It looks great on you though and now I think I need it lol.

Been dying to try Suqqu lipsticks and the e/s! Esp the Spring stuff. You're so lucky to have a counter Jamilla! Would love to know what you would compare the quads to texture, pigment wise?
