Today's looks uses several drug store products I purchased at Walgreen's in the U.S.: Rimmel Glam'Eyes HD 007, Maybelline FitMe Concealer 20, Revlon Grow Luscious Lashliner 001 Onyx and Clinique Chubby Stick Fuller Fig (department store purchase).
I primed with NARS Pro-Prime Skin Smoothing Face Prep and applied Bobbi Brown EXTRA Repair Foundation Warm Beige 3.5 with my fingers. I concealed with the Maybelline FitMe Concealer 20, which I like very much. This is the smoothest, creamiest drug store concealer I have ever purchased. It does not settle into pores and fine lines - I am very impressed! I dusted some Suqqu Nuancing Loose Powder in Natural on my t-zone to complete my base makeup.
On my eyes, I'm wearing Rimmel Glam'Eyes HD 007 Heart of Gold. The palette is in the classic Rimmel Union Jack configuration, which makes the smaller sections of gold and beige a bit small - but you can get around that with a good eye shadow brush, like Suqqu Eye Shadow Brush F. I applied the copper shade to my lids, contoured with the warm dark brown, and highlighted my inner lid with the gold shade. I highlighted my brow bone with the beige colour. I filled in my brows with Blink Eyebrow Pencil in Indian Chocolate.
Rimmel Glam'Eyes 007 Heart of Gold
I lined my eyes with the very creamy Revlon Grow Luscious Lashliner 001 Onyx, a product that I find comparable to Estee Lauder Pure Color Intense Kajal Eyeliner pencil, but at a fraction of the price. If you're on a budget, I'd recommend the Revlon eye pencil. Even though it's very creamy, I didn't set it with eye shadow and so far, so good - it hasn't smudged or migrated. I finished with two coats of Makeup Forever Smoky Lash black mascara - a very dark, sooty black with lots of staying power. This product also avoids the dreaded Asian lash droop, especially if you use a heated eyelash curler after application (and curl your lashes before with a regular eyelash curler). Your lashes will stay curled all day.
I blushed my cheeks with NARS Orgasm, and I'm wearing Clinique Chubby Stick 03 Fuller Fig on my lips.
Oh I really need to try the Maybelline Fit Me Concealer if it's that good. I'm also looking for a good mascara, MUFE Smoke Lash seems to be a winner among lots of makeup fanatics. What a beautiful fresh and rosy look!

ReplyDeletenew reader here. I have the same union jack palette too. I like the pigment and the texture too. But I do agree with u that it can bit hard to pick up the eyeshadow properly unless I use a smaller brush.
I would love to check out the maybelline concealer you rave about.

I'm just starting to see those Rimmel palettes at drugstores around me - your eye makeup looks quite nice with it! and your comments on the Maybelline concealer sold me - I'm going to try it out when it goes on sale :)
