FOTD - Nars Spring 2012 - Paramaribo Duo Eye Shadow and Bilbao Lipstick

 Today's look is mostly NARS, based around colours from the Spring 2012 collection: Paramaribo Duo Eye Shadow and Bilbao Lipstick. I'm also wearing NARS primer, foundation, blush, and bronzer.

 The Paramaribo Duo Eye Shadow is described as "metallic brass and bronze", and the Bilbao Lipstick is a "shimmering topaz" satin finish lipstick.

 Paramaribo Duo Eye Shadow and Bilbao Lipstick

I primed with NARS Pro-Prime Skin Smoothing Face Prep and applied two squirts of NARS Sheer Matte Foundation in Fiji. I applied a bit of  YSL Touche Eclat No. 8 (a yellow-toned shade) under my eyes and around my nose and mouth. Since my foundation is matte, I skipped the powder.

I love bronze and green shades, so I'm really liking the Paramaribo Duo Eye Shadow. I used the lighter shade all over as a base, then applied the darker bronze to contour and accent. I forgot to fill in my brows today.

I lined my upper lid with NARS Larger than Life Long-Wear Eyeliner pencil in Via Appia, and lined my lower lid with NARS Larger than Life Long-Wear Eyeliner pencil in Campo Di Fiori. I finished with two coats of the new L'Oreal Voluminous False Lashes Waterproof. I like this mascara for length, and keeping my lashes curled. It does not provide the volume that you get from L'Oreal Million Lashes or L'Oreal Lash Architect 4D, but if you're looking for length and curl, this mascara will do the job.

 

 I finally caved in and started using bronzer - I have been looking very pasty these days and I need extra colour in my face! Here, I'm using NARS Laguna, along with NARS Orgasm blush. I don't like major, New Jersey style bronzer, but I think that a little bit in the depths of winter gives a lift to your complexion.

NARS Bilbao Satin Lipstick is going to be another one of my main-stays - you can't go wrong with the subtle, shimmery topaz colour.
